Editing The Dashboard

**The Dashboard is the first page users see, when logging in to BoardSpot. This is a wonderful place to highlight your Board's goals and progress, share timely news, etc.. This article explains how to update the Dashboard. **


Organization Admins can customize the Dashboard. Contact your organization's administrator(s) for assistance with this.


Updating the Dashboard:

  1. Log in as admin user and navigate to Dashboard page.
  2. Select Edit Dashboard at top right.
  3. Click + Add section and choose the number of columns, as well as the layout width.
  4. Click +Add block and select whether you want the block to be a text field, an image, a chart or a thermometer.
  • Layout options include number of columns, width of each column, adding charts or thermometers, uploading images, and typing in written text.
  • You can use the up/down arrows symbol to move sections within the dashboard.
  • The pencil symbol allows you to edit existing sections and blocks.
  1. After updates are made, select Save, at top.

A dashboard example:

In this example the Section is four columns of equal width, and Text was added to each block, sharing the organization's four Goals. Under that a pie chart and a goal thermometer were added to visualize the goals.


The Dashboard page shows each member's next meeting, followed by an information section, and finally a list of additional future meetings. Members will see a list of their next and upcoming meetings based on the board and committees they are members of. These lists of meetings is updated automatically.
