Getting Started
NOTE: all emails/calendar invites from the portal come from Boardspot.com*. Please ask your members to accept/approve communications from this address to prevent bounces and filtering*.

An outline Organization Admins can use to walk your Board Members through the portal, following the sidebar menu:

NOTE: a live demo is most easily shown through a non-admin profile, which removes all of the admin actions that might confuse non-admin users. A temporary profile using a personal email address can be leveraged for this, after which that profile can be removed.

1. Dashboard - start here pointing out all of the elements found here, especially the My Next Meeting section at top, and the meeting's title which can quickly link a member straight to that meeting's page.
2. People - show members this is where they can find all other members and click their name to see their contact info shared.
3. Documents - guide members through all documents found here, pointing out which folders include which kinds of documents, and highlighting the Meeting Minutes folder which gathers all of them into a single place.
4. Board & Committees - show off the Board page and all tabs therein. Highlight that the committee pages are identical to the Board page, but tailored for those groups.
5. Meetings - this page will pull together all meetings for the profile, in one place. Highlight the Past Meetings tab as another place where Minutes can be found.
6. Personal Account (name) - show members that they can change contact info under My Profile, they can change their password and timezone under My Account, Calendar preferences is where they ensure they will receive calendar appointments and emails for upcoming meetings, & Notification Preferences is where they can add text options.
7. Share with your members the best email address and/or phone number to reach your Org staff at, with future questions or needs.
