Internet Explorer poses an ongoing security risk
IE was officially retired by Microsoft in June 2022, but it remains embedded in Windows 10 and 11 — and continues to be actively exploited. Attackers have used IE-specific vulnerabilities to silently install malware on fully up-to-date Windows machines as recently as 2024. IE should not be used for any web activity.
